Although not mandatory, we would strongly prefer UK members to pay by PayPal or standing order.
We would strongly prefer members outside the UK to pay via Paypal in pounds sterling. Their Paypal account/credit or debit card will then be debited in the corresponding amount in local currency at the exchange rate at the time of payment. In case of difficulties with this, please e-mail to memb.sec@plastiquarian.com.
The membership year starts on 1 October and runs through to 30 September of the following year. Members joining after 1 October will receive all publications issued to members between 1 October and the date of their joining, but will need to renew their membership on 1 October of the following year. Those joining during the period 1 July to 30 September will receive all publications issued from the date of their joining and membership will continue through until 30 September of the following year. On first joining, members will be sent a password for accessing the Archive section of this website.
Members will receive regular copies of the Society's journal Plastiquarian (published twice yearly) together with Newsletters (published four times per year) and unlimited access to the Society's archive of articles and newsletters on this website.
PHS holds an extensive library of books and other publications, all of which are available for members to see.
Members are encouraged to contact the Society for advice about the cleaning and care of plastics & rubbers, and for any historical information about the industry.
Downloaded application forms and standing order forms or any queries regarding membership should be addressed to:
